Wine & Cheese Party
A Wine & Cheese Dinner Party is perfect for a great evening, also less work than a traditional Dinner Party!
We have put together a few ideas and tips for a great Wine & Cheese Evening.
Ideally have three main Wine Choices on offer, White, Red and Rose. Chill the White and Rose in the fridge for at least two hours. Allow the Red Wine to breathe by opening two hours before. It is a nice touch to greet your guests with a glass of Sparkling Wine to start the evening off. Why not add an edible 'Rosella Flower' to the bottom of the glass for an amazing effect. Available soon through Diverse Hampers.
Now on to the cheese....allow the cheese to sit at room temperature for a few minutes for best enjoyment.
Try to match Wines and Cheeses where possible and talk your guests through the matches. Go for a traditional Cheddar, perhaps a flavoured Cheddar, alongside a Mature. Soft Cheese such as Brie and Camembert are lovely choices and try to add an unusual choice, also a local Cheese.
It is important to add accompaniments to the table to bring different textures and to cleanse the pallette, Cucumber and Celery are perfect for this. Grapes are obviously a good choice also. We held a Cheese and wine Evening and included a Fig Ball on the table, this was a very welcome addition.
Offer an assortment of Wafers and Biscuits, there is a huge variety avaialble, from crackers to flatbreads and sticks, also Bread if desired. The Bread should be dense and crusty.
That is the fundiments for an excellant Wine & Cheese Party. We love these evenings so much, we named a hamper afer them! Wine & Cheese Hamper
